Technical Staff Moves:

Clark began his coaching career as a goalkeeper coach with Michigan State in 2012. During his time with the Spartans, Clark was a player-coach for Detroit City FC as its goalkeeper coach while they were in the NPSL from 2012 to 2014.

From there, he became an assistant coach for the University of Evansville in 2014 before becoming UC Santa Barbara’s goalkeeper coach in 2016 until 2018. During that time, he was also Santa Barbara’s Soccer Club’s director of goalkeeping and head coach of its U14 and U18/19 squads.

He made his way to MLS in 2018 as Minnesota United’s head academy goalkeeper coach. In 2019, Clark became UC San Diego’s goalkeeper coach and concurrently held multiple roles with MLS Next club, Albion SC, for the next year. Oakland Roots then signed him as goalkeeper coach in January 2021.

Clark returned to San Diego in February 2022 as 1904 FC’s goalkeeper coach and first assistant. After that, the San Jose Earthquakes signed him as goalkeeper coach in January 2023, staying there until December 2024, when Monterey Bay FC signed him as first assistant under Frank Yallop, and then Jordan Stewart.

In 2026, the Committee will include Principal Owner Barney Schauble, President Lindsay Barenz, Vice President of Soccer Eric Yamamoto, General Manager Dustin Cleaver, Director of Soccer Nana Attakora, and Head Coach Ryan Martin.
