Hello and welcome back to the blog’s live coverage of Oakland Roots visiting FC Tulsa for the second-to-last game of the regular season. It’s do-or-die for Roots, needing a win to keep itself in the playoff hunt. Roots start the day four points back of the final two playoff spots. FC Tulsa still has a lot to play for in fifth, with a possibility to catapult into the top four with a win.
It’s a day of table-watching for Oakland fans, given they face competition from four teams to make the postseason. Seventh-place Orange County faces ninth-place Phoenix Rising at 7:00 p.m., eighth-place San Antonio plays second-place New Mexico at 5:30 p.m., while 10th-place Las Vegas squares up with fourth-place Lexington at 7:30 p.m.
In today’s three questions by Luis de Guzman, he wants to see how Roots handle Tulsa’s long passing and set pieces, and if Oakland can remain undefeated in Oklahoma.
Starting Lineups

Two changes for Oakland Roots from last weekend. Bobosi Byaruhanga and Keegan Tingey get the start in place of Bruno Lapa and Mark Fisher. Lapa isn’t in the lineup, while Fisher is on the subs list. Aside from that, no changes. Looks like Peter Wilson, Wolfgang Prentice and Danny Trejo make up the attackers. Tommy McCabe and Tyler Gibson are in the midfield, while Bobosi can man the CAM spot. Tingey moves into the RB spot opposite Jesus de Vicente, with David Garcia and Michael Edwards in the CB spots.
